Summer Fun

Summer! The most awaited holiday of the year. When we’ve said Bon Voyage to our old school books, our holiday heads have been put into gear, and our school bags have been left out of sight until we return to them again at the dreadful start of the new year, when we have almost forgotten how to count in the 6 delightful weeks away from school.

It has been barely a week since the beginning of my exciting and fun-filled summer holiday, and I have already done more shopping than I had done in the entirety of last year, not to mention the amount of walking too! I think it’s safe to say that I have most definitely been “snap happy” with my new DSLR camera since my friend paid a visit I’ve been dying to capture every single moment of everyday whenever I get the chance, (quite frankly annoying everyone else.) When we are not wrestling each other to the ground in order to retrieve are phones from each other (to avoid the escaping of any secrets that may lie deep in our phones) or when we are not showing off our comical  dance moves, or bursting out into spontaneous karaoke sessions when our favourite songs play in the car, we are usually busy capturing the moments of our ventures, with the few days of pleasant weather on our side (with the occasional downpour of rain now and then) reminds me of how great summer can be!

Taking Chances

Today I am going to be sharing with you something that I feel really resonates with me.

Taking chances. This is something that most of us don’t talk about, share, or even do.

Now pay attention to the last word, why don’t we take chances, risks, or even go out of our comfort zone?

This is something that I hadn’t asked myself or thought about either, until very recently. I have always been the type of person to shy away from things and most of the time not pursue any ambitions that I have, I never really motivated myself as I was so worried of failing or not being able to reach the goal that I gave up before even trying.

Recently something has changed in my mind, I’m not sure what that is, but I’m definitely not complaining! It’s as if something finally clicked in my brain or that I have formed into my alter ego. Making a Blog or sharing my life online is never something the “old me” would have done, but I finally decided to put myself out there, and even though its only been 4 days since I’ve started my blog, I can whole heart-idly say that its one of the best decisions I’ve made. It has given me a chance to share my thoughts with people rather than bottle them up.

Although these sound like very simple things to do, being a shy and introvert person this is definitely something I wouldn’t usually do, I guess I just decided to “live” for once.

Remember, don’t look back until you’ve reached the end, so you can see how far you’ve come.

Sometimes all we need a straight forward reminder so we don’t lose track of where we’re heading.

For a while all I cared about was what other people thought of me and what people would say or think of me. “If I did that they would judge me” or “What if they find out about my blog” what will they think of me.

But take it from me, whats really important is what YOU think of yourself.

Don’t doubt just do.

You maybe only one push away from the top of the mountain ❤

Life Through A Lens

I have always thoroughly enjoyed writing and I am a huge photography enthusiast (as well as all things Beauty, Fashion & Life related of course) I find it so fascinating how all the finer details of one specific object can be explored through nothing more than a camera lens, and capturing those moments is like stopping time itself.

Through the hustle & bustle of our everyday lives we never get to fully appreciate the beauty of the world around us (no matter how cheesy that may sound) and I feel that if people were to just take a minute and stop to admire the little details perhaps we wouldn’t be as stressed, rushed or even grumpy for that matter! Perhaps that is the reason I love photography so much, expressing my passion in a way that words can’t.

The world would be a much better place if people took the time to immerse themselves into reality instead of  in the world of technology. Although writing a blog with my nose in a computer screen for 30 minutes isn’t exactly “embracing nature” but sharing my thoughts and being able to ramble on for hours on end while not having to worry about life is something that I definitely needed!
